The school CEIP Europa in the Madrid town of Pinto was the last stage for the training activity of the En Bici project promoted by the Alberto Contador Foundation, the first stop in this new school year.

For two days, the bicycle has been the backbone of a training action aimed at girls and boys who are studying between the third and sixth of primary studies. A multidisciplinary action in which the bicycle is used to address road safety, mechanics, the different types of existing bicycles or the world of sport.

The professional ex-rider Félix García Casas, sports manager of the Alberto Contador Foundation, once again exercises another course as master of ceremonies of this pedagogical action which also has, among its fundamental objectives, to stimulate the promotion of the use of the bicycle as a means of transport.

The En Bici project and its presence in Pinto’s educational centres is part of the Galiana Programme promoted by its Consistory, a programme that sets in motion a series of activities that complement the official curricula.

The Isabel la Católica Primary School and the San José de Calasanz Primary and Secondary School, both also from Pinto, will be the next two stops of an En Bici project to which all those centres that request it can be added.
